Meet Andrew Mangan at HOCR 2022
This year at Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston, US Para National Team athlete Andrew Mangan will be at the JL Racing tent on Saturday, October 22nd. Stop by the JL tent between 10:00am-11:00am for a meet and greet, and to learn about High Fives Foundation - the nonprofit that helped Andrew buy an adaptive PR1 single to train in.
Row for the Cure 2022 Pre-Order Store
The Row for the Cure 2023 Pre-Order Store is open from October 6-October 20 in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 20% of all net sales from this pre-order store will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation on behalf of the Row for the Cure organization. Rowers are the perfect bunch to support our community as we battle to win the fight against breast cancer. Ultimately, that is why we come together each year. Not only as competitors but as a rowing community. One goal: to kick cancer, together!

Row For The Cure Pink The Boathouse Challenge 2022
Gather your friends, family, and teammates for Row for the Cure's Pink the Boathouse Challenge in honor or memory of a friend or loved one. Have fun and challenge yourself as we come together to fight cancer. Row, erg, run or walk throughout October. Form or join a team and participate in-person or virtually. Proceeds help fund community cancer organizations that support cancer patients and their families and rowing clubs which empower cancer survivors.

Team JL Spotlight: Joanne Culley
Team JL Ambassador Joanne Culley may not have been introduced into the rowing world until she was 43 years old, but she has been loving every minute of it for the last 10 years. Joanne prefers the wildness of rowing at sea over flat water rowing, starting with gig rowing, and more recently - coastal rowing. JL Spotlight: Kateryna Maistrenko
Kateryna (Katya) Maistrenko grew up around rowing. Her mom and dad both represented their countries in the 1988 and 1972 Olympics, respectively. They built and operated a large rowing center in Ukraine while Katya grew up. It was only natural that she started rowing when she was just 9 years old. Throughout her rowing career, Katya has rowed on the Ukrainian National Team, as well as for an NCAA Division I school in Washington. She was in the US when the war broke out in Ukraine. She found comfort by continuing to train on the water while also fundraising to support the people of Ukraine.

The Faster Masters Rowing pre-order store is now open! Faster Masters Rowing is a rowing business that sells educational webinars and training programs for masters rowers - from racers to exercise and fitness athletes. Faster Masters helps athletes with a framework for their training and an online community to support the trials of training, injury, setbacks and to celebrate progress towards success. Celebrate Earth Day 2022 With JL
Happy Earth Day from all of us at JL Racing! We recognize the need for sustainable business practices, which is why we use sublimation instead of traditional dyeing techniques, our manufacturing facility is almost entirely solar-powered, and our precise laser cutter allows for very little fabric waste during the manufacturing process. The Sports Bra Project Partners With Women Sport Australia
The Sports Bra Project celebrated International Women's Day this year with the announcement of a new partnership with Women Sport Australia. The Sports Bra Project increases access to sports for women and girls by removing barriers to participation. Women Sport Australia is a volunteer, non-profit organization that advocates for women in sport, and is dedicated to making sport equitable for all.
Team JL Spotlight: Rusna Sangha
Team JL Ambassador, Rusna Sangha is working to increase Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the sport of rowing, one stroke at a time. After joining her local rowing team, she realized that although there were similarities between her and the other rowers, there was one thing that made her different: She was one of only three BIPOC athletes on the team. By the end of her novice year, she was the only BIPOC athlete left on the team.
